Featuring all-original dial printing and no signs of water damage or heavy discoloration, this particular model also features the desirable AOPA logo on the dial, signifying that it was sold through the Aircraft Owners & Pilots Association. Navitimer 806: dating the early models
The lume on the numerals and hands has darkened to an even dark olive color. The external track shows some aging, with the bottom half slightly darker in tone. The watch is in running condition with the chronograph starting, stopping, and resetting correctly at this time. Almost a decade after the original AOPA model, Breitling introduced contrasting subdials to the Navitimer. The reverse panda configuration is now a hallmark of the Navitimer collection, but at the time, the decision was made primarily to improve legibility.Featuring all-original dial printing and no signs of water damage or heavy discoloration, this particular model also features the desirable AOPA logo on the dial, signifying that it was sold through the Aircraft Owners & Pilots Association.

The excellent glossy black gilt "AOPA" dial is very well preserved, showing only small spots and marks from age which is expected. The silver sub-dials remain very clean with only minimal age present. The tritium makers have aged to a dark grey coloration with only minor spots of degradation present when inspected under U.V. light.These include the AOPA signed wings of the early 806, a configuration only meant for the American market, unsigned wings and the Breitling logo, and a Breitling – Genève – wings combination. The actual Breitling signature only became present on the dial in the late 1950s, so early iterations of the reference 806 do not display the manufacture.The glossy black gilt AOPA dial is in excellent, original condition.
